October: Ivory Coast. San Pedro beach
This quiet beach is in contrast with the port activities at San Pedro nearby. Ivory Coast aims to become a new industrialised country. To achieve this it relies on her liberal and diversified economy, a dynamic private sector and a first class infrastructure. The economy of Ivory Coast is mainly based on the export of agricultural products: cocoa, coffee, cotton, timber, cashew nuts, rubber, bananas, mangoes, sugar cane, palm oil and pineapples. San Pedro in the extreme south west of the country has an important port. There are 550 Km of beaches on the Atlantic coast from San Pedro to Assinie.
